We decided that making a flashy poster would not fit into the style and idea of the exhibition. Therefore, we made 6 versions of posters and placed students works on each poster with the name of the exhibition placed on the background. In this way, we emphasised not only the individuality and state of mind of each student but also the story behind each work.

Masks are one of the oldest human accessories for religious ceremonies, holidays, and pagan rituals almost all over the planet.

University students needed to present a vision of this ancient attribute in a more modern form. At the beginning of the exhibition, each student chose between several techniques and options for executing their ideas. Everyone worked as a team and had an opportunity to work with people from different countries which added creativity and variety to the process.

Someone decided to make an exclusively historical reproduction of their country or their people. Others made deeply personal works that representes state of mind and experience of each person.

University

MADE as a "product" or "manufactured". MADE Program as Mediterranean
Arts & Design Program.

MADE is the first Academy of its kind in Italy that aims to work at the crossroads of design, art, craft and local cultural traditions, giving life to an operational platform based in the South of our country, in Siracusa, investing once again in an area too often neglected.

From its beginning, MADE Program has invested resources and energy in building strong international programs and institutional relationships. Teachers from different parts of the world, exchange programs with foreign universities, and its Summer School held exclusively in English make MADE Program a first step in a potentially limitless itinerary of professional development.
